Who we are

This policy describes how Alaqmar Inc, doing business as Alaqmar QSR Management, handles personal information. Alaqmar Inc is an independent franchisee that owns and operates Cold Stone Creamery, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Planet Smoothie, and Wetzel's Pretzels locations in Illinois, Texas, and California.

Alaqmar Inc is a separate company from the franchisors of those brands. This policy covers only information collected by Alaqmar Inc — through this website, in our stores, and through our text messaging program. It does not cover the franchisors' own websites, apps, or loyalty programs, which are governed by their own policies.

What personal information we collect

Contact details — your name, mobile phone number, and email address.
Order information — what you ordered, your pickup store and time, and any special instructions, including for ice cream cakes and catering.
Messages you send us — the content of contact form submissions, emails, and text messages you send to us.
Employment information — for job applicants and team members, the details provided on applications and onboarding paperwork.
Basic website data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.

We do not collect payment card numbers on this website. In-store and online payments are handled by our payment processors, who receive that information directly.

How we use personal information

To take, prepare, confirm, and fulfill your order.
To send you order confirmations, order-ready and pickup notifications, and cake or catering order status updates.
To respond to your questions, catering inquiries, and customer service requests.
To schedule and communicate with our own team members about their shifts and store operations.
To operate, secure, and improve this website.
To meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

Who we share personal information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

Service providers who operate systems on our behalf — our messaging provider, point-of-sale and ordering systems, payment processors, payroll provider, and website host. They may use the information only to perform that service for us.
Legal requirements — when we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, our team, or the public.
Business transfers — if a location or the business is sold, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Text messaging (SMS)

Alaqmar Inc operates a text messaging program under the Cold Stone Creamery name. We collect mobile phone numbers only when you give them to us and agree to be texted — on our in-store cake or catering order form, on our online opt-in form, by texting us first, or, for team members, on signed onboarding paperwork.

We use those numbers to send:

Order confirmations and order-ready or pickup notifications.
Ice cream cake and catering order status updates.
Replies to your catering inquiries and customer service questions.
For our team members only: shift reminders, schedule confirmations, urgent store updates, and management announcements.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Mobile numbers are disclosed only to the messaging service provider that delivers these messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive one confirmation message and nothing after that. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations. Records of your text messaging consent and of any opt-out are kept for as long as we operate the messaging program, so that we can honor your choice.

Your choices

Text messages — reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them.
Access, correction, and deletion — contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
California and other state privacy rights — residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what information we hold and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website and our messaging program are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes to the text messaging program will be reflected here and in our SMS Terms of Service.
